Services

At Village Chiropractic, our primary concern is your physical rehabilitation through safe pain relief and long-term healing. We combine tried-and-true techniques with today’s most effective technology. We will be happy to discuss treatments such as spinal decompression tables, Interferential Current, cold LASER therapy, Active Release Technique, therapeutic ultrasound, biomechanical manipulations and hyper/hypo-therapy. To continue rehabilitation and maximize the long-term benefit of your treatments, we also provide instruction in exercises designed specifically for you to perform at home.

Active Release Technique (ART)

ART is a tried and true manual therapy that has been used to treat millions of patients for over 30 years, with constant updating and improving over the years. It entails identifying, isolating, and targeting the affected area to break up scar tissue. This promotes blood flow and faster healing of injuries. ART can be used to treat problems with your —

  • muscles

  • ligaments

  • tendons

  • fascia

  • nerves

ART is effective in treating soft tissue injuries from trauma or repetitive over use.

Spinal Decompression

Spinal decompression therapy is a non-surgical, comfortable traction therapy for the relief of back and leg pain or neck and arm pain. It works by gently stretching the spine, taking pressure off the spinal discs, which are gel-like cushions between the bones in your spine. As a result, bulging or herniated disks may retract, taking pressure off nerves and other structures in your spine.

Spinal decompression is used to treat —

  • Back or neck pain or sciatica, which is pain, weakness, or tingling that extends down the leg

  • Bulging or herniated disks or degenerative disk disease

  • Worn spinal joints

  • Nerve irritations.

Interferential Current (IFC)

Interferential Current (IFC) is a form of electrical stimulus therapy that helps to decrease acute and chronic pain. It has been around for many years, and has proven reliably effective in reducing tight muscles stemming from muscle guarding, muscle spasms, myofascial pain syndrome, fibromyalgia, fascial restrictions, and trigger points. IFC alters or interrupts the painful signals that travel from injured tissues to your brain. It can decrease the pain, inflammation and swelling, and improve circulation within the injured tissues.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound generates vibrations deep in the body’s tissues. These vibrations can help treat pain conditions and spur cell regeneration, speeding up the healing process. It increases blood flow, and decreases inflammation and swelling.

Laser Therapy

Therapeutic laser works much like photosynthesis in plants. Adding photonic energy to the body helps it grow or repair itself. It promotes healing by increasing blood flow, decrease inflammation and swelling, increase collagen and cartilage production.
